WHO WE ARE
The Ornithological Group of Estrecho (GOES) is composed of nature lovers
in general with particular interest in avifauna, and who unselfishly
dedicate part of their time out in the field to enjoy the birds, an
activity that can be used , in one way or the other , to help protect
and to conserve nature for the present generations and to instill the
respect for the environment by future generations.

The aims of this association can be summarized in two ways: 1:The
conservation of the natural environment and the spreading of our natural
values. The main activities concentrate on the study and the protection
of wild birds and their habitats, especially of those more vulnerable
such as the wetland areas. 2:As the name of the group indicates, birds
are the main “instrument” that we use to carry out this work. Within
this scope, the scientific ringing of birds has a special relevance to
being one of the fundamental tools in the conservation and spreading
environmental values.

What we want to say here is that GOES is at the disposal of all members
of the public and invites any person interested in birds, the
environment and in their conservation, to collaborate with us. Any type
of help will be very welcome and we assure you that the experience will
be very rewarding.
